My law office is a little different than you might expect. I do not have an ivory tower office. In fact, I have my office in a wonderful work space in my basement. Which is why I require an appointment to see me. The only time you will see me in a suit and tie is in court. I just don't like to wear suits and I won't wear a suit in my office. There may be times early in the morning when you might call my office, and I will be at my desk enjoying a cup of coffee and wearing my favorite sweat suit. Or you may find me sitting on my patio in my back yard using my wireless network working on cases or posting to my blog.

My staff includes a paralegal who has over 20 years of experience. She also does not go to an office to work. My paralegal and I communicate by phone, email and internet. I email her dictation files to draft and she will email them back to me. The savings in overhead cost can be reflected in the amount I charge for my services. I also have a business manager that works for me part time.

In addition, I use modern technology to its fullest. I have been moving towards an office that uses the paperLESS method. I digitally store all documents that come into my office and store the documents I produce the same way. My clients receive all original documents from me, since I have them stored in a viritual file cabinet. I only keep those items that I believe I may need for a court hearing. I encourage clients to use email to stay in contact with me. And I like to use email to provide my clients with information about their case and also for a way to exchange documents.

My law practice focuses on all aspects of family law issues. Including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, parental rights, grandparent visitation rights, and adoption. I enjoy the practice of law. But, most of all, I enjoy the fact that I can help those individuals or families that are facing problems.

In an attempt to help clients control the cost of their legal services, I do provide most of my services on a fixed-fee basis. However, there will be those times when an hourly rate is necessary due to the fact a case may be more complex and require a extra amount of legal work or staff support than is "normal."

I welcome, no I encourage legal questions about anything posted on this blog or just general family law questions. Most questions can be answered either with an email or a short phone call. And I do provide free initial telephone or in-person consultaions to prospective clients free of charge.

Please call or email me if I might be of assistance with your family law issues. That is what I am here for.
